In Pride Run kun je deze herfst een eigen Pride organiseren

Vorige maand waren er wereldwijd een hoop Pride festiviteiten. Juni was de Pride maand. Maar de festiviteiten gaan vrolijk verder aankomende herfst in de game van IV Productions: Pride Run. De game verschijnt op Steam en geeft je de taak om zelf een Pride Run te organiseren.

Pride Tycoon?

Nou, het is geen echte organisatorische game. Maar het gaat er meer om dat het feestje door blijft gaan. Als dat niet lukt, dan vertrekt het publiek.

“We’re a diverse development team, and many of us have been lucky enough to attend different Prides around the world. We felt it was about time someone took the sheer energy, passion and extravagance that emanates from these celebrations of LGBTQ+ culture beyond attendees and out into the wider world,” aldus Ivan Venturi, CEO en Game Director van IV Productions. “Players who successfully grow their parades will then be tasked with taking on a boss in a one-on-one dance duel, with the victor taking control of the city – and, in the end, the world.”

De Pride vieren over de gehele wereld in deze game

“At its heart, Pride Run is a celebration of Pride events around the world,” voegt Jonny Merritt, Head of Developer Relations bij Green Man Gaming Publishing toe. “The game focuses on rhythm, taking the beat that defines many a march and making it a foundation of play. We think the fun nature of what is definitely a light-hearted, celebratory take on the Pride movement will translate well with gamers across the globe. As part of the launch of the game, Green Man Gaming is exploring ways of supporting LGBTQ+ rights charities who we feel are aligned with our inclusivity and diversity values. More exciting news to come.”

De game wordt samen met Steam Factory gemaakt en hieronder kun je de trailer checken. Het is een game met een pixelachtige art stijl en de game barst van de kleuren. Vanilla en Play Hard modus zijn er om te kiezen en in de Play Hard modus moet je vechten met “those who question LGBTQ+ rights”. Er is ook iemand in de trailer te ontdekken die verdacht veel op Donald Trump lijkt, met wie je ook het gevecht aan zult kunnen gaan zo blijkt het in de trailer.
