Amazon Studios zet teaser online voor een Fallout tv-serie

De Fallout-franchise heeft de laatste tijd behoorlijk wat negatief in het nieuws gestaan. Het mag geen geheim zijn dat dit volledig te wijten is aan de game Fallout 76. Deze game was namelijk bij veel gamers niet geheel wat zij ervan hadden verwacht. Uiteraard laat ontwikkelaar Bethesda de Fallout-reeks hierdoor niet links liggen. Sterker nog; het bedrijf is bezig met een heuse Fallout tv-serie.

De teaser voor de Fallout tv-serie doet zijn naam wel eer aan!

Er is nog maar weinig bekend over de desbetreffende tv-serie. Via het officiële Twitterkanaal van Amazon Studios wist het Amerikaanse bedrijf een kleine teaser wereldkundig te maken. De teaser doet zijn naam echter eer aan. Er is namelijk niet veel te zien in de korte video die via Twitter werd gedeeld. Wat wij wel weten is dat de Fallout tv-serie straks te bekijken zal zijn via de streamingdienst van Amazon; Amazon Prime Video.

Kilter Films gaat verantwoordelijk zijn voor de productie

De serie zal in samenwerking met Bethesda Game Studios en Bethesda Softworks worden geproduceerd door Kilter Films. Laatstgenoemde staat onder andere bekend voor het maken van de serie Westworld. In een bericht dat Bethesda op haar website heeft gezet is het volgende te lezen.

“Amazon Studios has licensed the rights to the worldwide best-selling game franchise Fallout, with acclaimed producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Kilter Films attached to produce the project, currently in development with a series commitment.”

Kilter filmproducenten Jonathan Nolan en Lisa Joy worden aan dit project gelinkt. Zij wisten het volgende over deze aankomende serie te melden.

“Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time. Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends. So we’re incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios,”

Ook Todd Howard, Executive Producer bij Bethesda Game Studios, wist zijn zegje te doen over dit gezamenlijke project.

“Over the last decade, we looked at many ways to bring Fallout to the screen. But it was clear from the moment I first spoke with Jonah and Lisa a few years ago, that they and the team at Kilter were the ones to do it right. We’re enormous fans of their work and couldn’t be more excited to work with them and Amazon Studios.”
